Chem. Club News

Dear BCA Members:

I want to thank everyone for another great year. Our events last year were very successful thanks to all our members’ participation. Our club appreciates you as a member, we also ask you to try and recruit new members to help our club continue to thrive.

 In 2011 the BCA will hold 4 golf outings, please put the following dates on your 2011 calendar.  

April 14, 2011 River Run - Ocean City (Spring Fling)
May  19, 2011 Rocky Point Golf Course
June 27, 2011 Rolling Road Golf Club
Sept. 22, 2011 Ocean City Golf Club and Crab Feast
Again this year - This is NOT Bike Week!
We will be returning to the Princess Royale Hotel for 2011!

This is a great club, to help it continue to improve, please get involved and be an active part of the club. If you are interested in being involved, please contact a board member, contact information can be found on the BCA website. 

Our dues this year will be $100.00. We prefer that you pay by check, but if necessary we will accept Credit Cards for payment of your dues. Attached you will find a form to be filled out and returned to the Club Office, you may also register online at http://www.baltchem.com/membership/membership.htm. Please include your business card; we want to use the card to get everyone’s correct email addresses in our system. If your email address changes over the course of the year, please notify Robert Johnson so we can update it.   

Please be aware that some of your companies email in boxes may strip or cancel attachments sent by the BCA.  If you select your company email for BCA announcements, you should advise your IT department that the BCA email (baltchem@comcast.net) is a safe address. 

The Baltimore Chemical Club is now over 50 + years old; let’s keep it going!  Get involved, give us your ideas and please attend our outings.

Upcoming Events

Dear BCA Members & Golfers, 

The BCA’s annual Ocean City Golf & Crab Feast outing will be on September 22nd, 2011 at the Ocean City Golf Club with a Shot Gun Start at 10:00 AM. The first 120 players will be play the Newport Bay Golf Course and the balance of players will start on the Seaside Course. We have kept the prices down again this year, the registration fees are as follows; 

Golf and dinner for Members: $195.00
Golf and dinner for Non-Members: $205.00
Dinner only for Members: $85.00
Dinner only for Members: $95.00 

The Crab Feast and Dinner will be held at the Princess Royale Oceanfront Hotel, 9100 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, MD 21842, 410-524-7777. Rooms are now available for the event and they have set aside rooms for us for Wed. night and/or Thursday night. The prices for rooms are as follows:  

Side View or Pool View: $109.00 per night
Ocean Front: $149.00 per night
2 BR Condo: $239.00 per night
3 BR Condo: $269.00 per night

Scholarship News - 2011

The Baltimore Chemical Association was able to award 7 Academic Scholarships for 2011. Congratulations to the awardees. The Baltimore Chemical Association hopes the scholarship awards will help the recipients meet their academic goals.
