Dear BCA Members: I want to thank everyone for another great year. Our events last year were very successful thanks to all our members’ participation. Our club appreciates you as a member, we also ask you to try and recruit new members to help our club continue to thieve.
This is a great club, to help it
continue to improve, please get involved and be an active
part of the club. If you are interested in being involved,
please contact a board member, contact information can be
found on the BCA website. Our dues this year will be $100.00. We
prefer that you pay by check, but if necessary we will
accept Credit Cards for payment of your dues. Attached you
will find a form to be filled out and returned to the Club
Office, you may also register online at
http://www.baltchem.com/membership/membership.htm.
Please include your business card; we want to use the card
to get everyone’s correct email addresses in our system. If
your email address changes over the course of the year,
please notify Robert Johnson so we can update it.
Please be aware that some of your
companies email in boxes may strip or cancel attachments
sent by the BCA.
If you select your company email for BCA announcements, you
should advise your IT department that the BCA email (baltchem@comcast.net)
is a safe address. The Baltimore Chemical Club is now over
50 years old; let’s keep it going!
Get involved, give us your ideas and please attend
our outings. Regards, Tom Lucas |

Dear BCA Members:
It is getting to be that time of year
again and our big event of the season, our Annual Golf
Outing and Crab Feast in Ocean City is right around the
corner. Please mark your calendar for Thursday Sept. 23 ,
2010 for the big
day. I am sure most of you had this put down the day after
you got back from last year's outing. This is not
Bike Week and it is for those who wish to stay the
weekend Sun Feast Weekend. If you have never been to this
event in O.C. before I highly recommend it. Also if you book
a room at The Clarion, they will extend to you the room
rates for the weekend.
We will begin the event with a Shot Gun Start at 10:00 a.m. at Ocean City Golf and Yacht Club. The first 120 players will be put on the Newport Bay Golf Course and the balance of players will start on the Seaside Course. This is a first in, first reserved for Newport Bay. If you play the Seaside Course, you will still be in on the Tournament. This year's event we will sponsor a Putting Contest which will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Golf Course and the Putt Off for the Big Prize will take place 15 minutes before we tee off. So come early and participate in this fun contest. We will have some skill prizes which
will include the Straightest Drive for Men and one also for
Women. We will have 2 closest to the pins as well.
We have done it again for the second
straight year we are able to offer you the same prices
listed below for this really fun event. We have worked hard
at trying to do everything we can to keep the costs down
during these tough times and we have.

the Hospitality Cart, Hospitality Suite and for Hole

Let me know via email at
rdimarcantonio@dhlitter.com if you can bring a gift for a
door prize. Let me know what it is and of course your
company name so we make sure you get credit for your great
support. This is very important and helps us to make this
event very special. We try to make sure everyone goes home
with a gift! We are asking for Golf Balls, Tees,
Towels etc. that can be put on everyone's Golf Cart so If
you can donate any of these items, please let me know.
Also we will have a table set up in the
Hospitality Suite each night for those of you that want to
place your business card on the table and any company
literature that people might want to have someone view about
your company. This is a little added benefit for coming to
the affair!
We are changing where the event will be
held this year. We will be at The Clarion Resort at 10100
Coastal Hwy. This is 100th Street on the Ocean Side. This is
a very nice Hotel with a lot of the same features as in the
past and even more. The address is listed below: Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel
$129.00 for a single All the rooms are Ocean View and Bay
View. Rooms are available now by calling 1-800-638-2100 and
telling them that you are part of The Baltimore Chemical
Club outing and that rate will be applied.
We have these 70 rooms for Wed. Sept. 22nd and
Thursday Sept 23rd. Thirty days before the outing which is
August 23rd the Clarion will start to release the remaining
rooms that we have not sold. So please make your room
reservations now to make sure you get in on this special
rate.
We are also working on getting BCA golf
shirts with the BCA logo on it. If you are interested, let
me know via email and what size you would need. We are
trying to get them for a selling price of $25.00. I will
have more details on this later but let me know if you are
interested and if so again, what size or sizes you will
need.
We are asking for volunteers to help us
run this outing. We are planning on having a putting contest
and need one person to help us for that event. As always, we
will need help selling 50/50 tickets, selling raffle
tickets, selling Mulligans, etc. Once again we will work on
getting a set of clubs to raffle off as we have done in the
past.
This event takes a lot of planning and
with your help it will run smoothly again this year as it
has in the past. We need everyone to come and bring as many
people as you can. I can remember when we had 195 for golf
and 225 for dinner and that was not that many years ago. I
know things are tough but consider it a mini-vacation at the
beach and all for a good cause the BCA Scholarship.
Look forward to seeing all of you again
in Ocean City. You don't want to miss this one!
